A full explanation is available in the linked article, but the barebones reason is that remote access is too much of a security and infrastructure risk. We do offer a number of online alternatives to our customers to manage their hosted databases, details of which may be found in the Databases section of the Knowledgebase.

As part of the recent WebMail upgrade, we also upgraded the available PHP to 8.3.1.2. As per PHP's announcement, this is a security release.

As 7.x is no longer supported - with either improvements or security fixes - we will shortly be removing it from general availability. If you are still running an application that may limited to 7.x, please ensure it updated.

ImageMagick 3.7 now available

Additionally, the ImageMagick v3.7 extension is now available for PHP v8.3. This extension is not enabled by default. If you require it, enable it either through the Hosting Control Panel or by submitting a support ticket.
