Overview
TaxiOffice includes extensive support for the use of keywords in e-mail templates. This article explains exactly what keywords are and the keywords that are currently recognised and supported by TaxiOffice. These keywords available are nearly the same as are available for website pages.
What are keywords?
Keywords are shortcuts to values that will automatically be filled in by TaxiOffice when generating and sending e-mail messages.
For example, the keyword $datetime$ will automatically be replaced with the current date and time.
Keywords enable operators to build newsletter messages that are versatile and have a personal touch. For example, instead of starting a newsletter with Dear Customer, operators may use the keyword $recipient_name$ which will insert the name of the message's recipient: Dear Joe Bloggs, Dear Kate Smith etc.
There are a couple of basic rules when using keywords:
- Only recognised keywords may be used (see list below)
- Keywords begin and end with a dollar ($) sign
- Keywords are in lowercase and contain no spaces.
Recognised Keywords
Some keyword values or ouput are taken from definable TaxiOffice settings. These values may be changed by the operator.
