A mail alias simply forwards e-mail messages to a specific e-mail address. Mail aliases are often used for long or generic e-mail address likes sales@example.com or webmaster@example.com

A mail address has two parts: the alias address and the e-mail address to forward messages to.

To create mail aliases, you will need to log into our Hosting Control Panel.

How To

  1. Log into the Hosting Control Panel.
  2. From the left-hand Account Menu, click on Spaces
  3. From the Hosting Spaces menu, click on the space that contains your website (most accounts will only have 1 space).
  4. From the left-hand Hosting Space Menu, float your mouse over the Mail option. A side menu will open, click on Mail Aliases.
  5. Click on the Create Mail Alias button
  6. Enter the alias address in the E-mail address textbox and select the domain from the drop down menu.
  7. Enter the address to forward messages to in the Forwards to e-mail textbox. This address should be a valid e-mail address.

Your new mail alias has been created and is now ready to be used.
