How to create a shortened url

Introduction

This article explains how to create a shortened url using our LeafUrl service.

Important Information

LeafUrl services are only available to Calzada Media account holders. LeafUrl services are governed by Terms and Conditions of Service for LeafUrl.

Creating a LeafUrl

1. Sign into My Account by click on the Sign In link found at the top right of every page.
2. Once signed in, click on the LeafUrl tab.
3. Click on the Add Url option
4. Complete the Add Url form. The various form fields are:
   • The Target Url is website address to which the short url will point
   • The Short Code is the code for the shortened url. A unique, random short code will be automatically generated.
   • The Enabled flag is used to enable or disable the shortened url
   • The Start Date is the date from which you wish to the Short Url to operate from
   • The End Date is the date from which you wish to the Short Url to operate until
   • The value of Max Requests/Day enables you to limit the total number of requests for the short url per day. Leave at 0 for unlimited
   • The value of Max Requests/Hour enables you to limit the total number of requests for the short url per hour. Leave at 0 for unlimited
5. Click on Save to create the shortened Url
