Why is my .EU Domain in Quarantine?

Why is it quarantined?

There is no grace period with .EU domains. If you do not renew your .EU domain by its' expiry date it will automatically be placed in quarantine for 40 days.

What happens in quarantine?

Once a domain is placed in quarantine, all websites and email addresses associated with the domain will cease to work.

If you do not renew the domain within 40 days, it will be released onto the open market and can be registered by anyone on a first-come, first-served basis.

Renewing a quarantined .EU domain

Renewing a quarantined .EU domain is subject to a fee of £75+VAT in additional to the standard renewal fee.

To renew a quarantined .EU domain, please contact us. Domain renewal will not occur until the complete fee is received in full.
